TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY. On purchase of an Oysterbaby sling you signify your agreement to these Terms and Conditions.
Ordering and payment
To buy an Oysterbaby sling please follow the instructions on our website found on the ‘purchase’ page. Please email us at email@example.com to indicate your payment choice. If paying by cheque or cash, details of where to send your payment will be emailed to you privately. If you would like to make an order over the phone please ‘contact us’ and we will be happy to take your order. Please note we are a family run business and we may be unable to answer your call. However if you leave a message with your name and phone number we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Postage charges and delivery information
When ordering please select the delivery option that you require from the drop down list on the ‘purchase’ page of our website. We will make your sling and send it to you as fast as possible. However please be prepared it may take 10 working days before the sling can be dispatched. All the delivery times apart from special delivery are estimated. We cannot be held responsible for any delay on receipt of your sling once it has been dispatched.
We have three delivery options:
Royal mail 1st class
This usually takes 1-2 working days from the dispatch date but it is not a trackable service and there is no guaranteed delivery date.
Royal mail 1st class recorded
This usually takes 1-2 working days from the dispatch; there is no guaranteed delivery date. This is not a trackable service, but it is recorded and a signature will be required.
Royal Mail Special Delivery
This gives guaranteed next day delivery from the dispatch date. Orders can be tracked through the Royal Mail website. A signature will be required upon delivery.
In the rare event that your package is lost, stolen or undelivered, we cannot be held responsible once the order is sent.
While we will help you try and locate your package by providing all relevant posting information, all non-delivered packages will not be resent or refunded. We encourage our customers to use a trackable posting service such as recorded or special delivery.
Please note that occasionally packages can take longer than usual to reach their destinations, particularly around Christmas and bank holidays. Please also note that Royal mail will not consider first class UK items to be missing until 15 working days after the dispatch date.
Returns, exchanges and refunds
You have the right to cancel your contract of purchase from oysterbaby within seven days of receipt of goods or from time of payment (whichever is shortest). You will be fully refunded once the sling is returned unwashed and unused. In the case of a faulty sling only exchanges can be made, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with details of the problem. The faulty sling must be returned to us unwashed and unused within 14 days of receipt.
It is our policy never to sell or pass on your personal details to any other organization, this includes your name, postal or e-mail addresses and the details submitted on the order form. The information on the order form is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
We want you to enjoy using oysterbaby slings as much as we do. Therefore if you have any questions, problems or need advice about how to use your sling please contact us and we will do our best to help you.
Please read and follow the Care instructions carefully to ensure your sling remains in good condition.
Oysterbaby holds no responsibility for any injury caused whilst using our slings. Instructions are provided on our website, which we recommend you read and follow carefully.
Before use Carefully read and follow the instructions provided on our website www.oysterbaby.co.uk and navigate to ‘how to wrap’.
Do not use unless the wrap is tied snug, and you and the baby are comfortable. Hold your baby close at all times until correctly secured in the wrap.
Small children can fall through leg openings. Follow instructions for use. Adjust leg openings to smallest size. The infant must not face forward until he/she can hold their head and shoulders upright.
Oysterbaby slings are designed for use by adults only. They have been designed to accommodate the wearer while sitting, standing and walking only. Please do not use an Oysterbaby sling while undertaking any other activities (such as cooking, cleaning, running, skiing, horse riding etc.), as this could be dangerous. The sling must not be used in these situations nor as a replacement for a car safety seat. Do not bend at the waist when bending down; bend at the knees to make sure your baby stays secure.
This product must not be worn so as to obstruct the wearer’s vision and should not be worn by any persons experiencing back problems. Always make sure there is enough room around your baby’s face to provide a clear source of air.
This product is subject to normal wear and tear over time. The user should inspect the sling before each use for signs of deterioration such as loose seams, tears or separations.
