Oysterbaby slings offer 6 different carrying positions, ensuring you 'wear your baby' the perfect way, meeting both your needs and those of your growing baby - from newborn all the way to toddler age.


oyster-tie

This is the basic tie used in four of the six Oysterbaby ties : oyster-perl, oyster-snuggle, oyster-hug, oyster-lookout. Once you know this tie you can easily alter the last few steps to use any of these four ties, the videos and instructions reference the oyster-tie so be sure to watch this first! oyster-pearl

A horizontal position, great for tiny newborns, premature babies and for breastfeeding discreetly. (Suitable for premature babies to 4 months). Click here for step by step instructions, or watch the video below:


oyster-snuggle

A vertical chest to chest position, great for 'hands free' snuggling. (Suitable for premature babies to around 18months). Click here for step by step instructions, or watch the video below:


oyster-hug

A variation on the oyster 'snuggle' position but for older babies. This position is less restrictive, allowing babies to have their arms and legs free.

If babies fall asleep in this position, their head, arms and legs (depending on their length) can be tucked back under the fabric, giving extra support. (Suitable for babies 4 months to 3 years). Click here for step by step instructions, or watch the video below:


oyster-lookout

A vertical position with the baby facing out, great for active and alert babies who want to see the world. (Suitable for babies 4- 12months)

This position is not recommended for long carrying periods or for tired or sleeping babies. Click here for step by step instructions or watch the video below:


oyster-hip

Babies are carried on your hip, allowing you to keep a straight spine. It's quick, easy and a favourite for toddlers. (Suitable for older babies who can sit unaided 6 months - 3 years). Click here for step by step instructions, or watch the video below:
